Susan Dicks
Sue has 40 years' experience in housing and the public sector and is passionate about rural housing and its contribution to the sustainability of village life and its communities. Since 1982, her roles have included Director of Community Safety and Strategy, Head of Housing Management and Homelessness, Public Protection and Safeguarding, Diversity and Equalities and Chair for eleven years of the Chartered Institute of Housing for Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. During this time, Sue lectured Housing Management Law and Community Safety at Birmingham University.
Working with and for Housing and Communities across much of the South West and West Midlands, she has a proven track record of successful management, leading transformational change and improving business performance in both private and public sector housing at local and national level.
Sue is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing, a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, a Senior Local Government Association (LGA) Peer Review Officer and a qualified Peer Mentor/Coach. She is an active volunteer with roles as NHS Trustee for Swindon, Bath and Poole Hospitals and Safeguarding and Health and Safety Committee Lead for Busy Kids Pre-school in Bromham, Wiltshire.
